The number one question we get asked at FaceGym, is how do I get a defined jawline? The good news is, we’ve got 3 simple techniques you can do at home to sculpt and contoured jawline.
Before we begin, it’s important to prep the skin with face oil in order to give your skin the glide your hands need to work through the facial muscles. Depending on your skin needs, you can choose from 1 of the 3 enzymatically activated oils made with nutrient-rich muscle blend™ to stimulate your skin’s metabolic cycle:
- FaceGym's Brightening Signature Face Oil - Think super hydrated, bright, luminous skin. Combining avocado, sweet orange, grapefruit and CoQ10, this power-packed oil is a great antioxidant to defend against free radicals that damage and prematurely age the skin.
- FaceGym's Detox Signature Face Oil - If breakouts are a concern, this cucumber oil, palamarose, bergamot and Melinoil™ helps to clear congestion, protect against pollution and balance the skin
- FaceGym's Firming Signature Face Oil - Tones up tired skin. Formulated with FaceGym’s unique blend of 6 skin-energising, bio-intelligent ingredients, this oil is a plumping powerhouse to reduce fine lines, hydrate and improve your overall complexion.
With your oil smoothed onto the skin and along the jawline, we begin the workout with a FaceGym fave– the Jawline Sweep. Check out the Jaw Define video so you can see all of the moves in action before you try it out at home.
How to Get A Chiselled Jawline?
#1 Jawline Sweep
Using your index and middle finger, hold the skin at your chin tight. With the other hand, claw your index and middle fingers and tuck the knuckle of the index finger tight under the jaw bone at the chin. Pressing your fingers together to capture the jaw bone between the top and lower knuckle with a medium to firm pressure, sweep from the chin all the way along the jawline until you reach the ear.
It’s important to take your time and get comfortable with the movement. There’s no need to rush through any of our techniques, and don’t be afraid of pressure. Definitely use the lower and the top knuckles to really release the tension, tighten and tone. If you feel like you are holding tension in the jaw area, take your time going over these areas and always release the pressure if any areas feel tender. It's great to do the jawline sweeps around 5-6 times before moving to the other side of your face.
#2 Heel Sweep
Next up is the Heel Sweep. Support the skin on your chin with one hand, and using the flat of your palm on the other hand, tuck it under the jawline and sweep from chin to ear using a firm pressure. Repeat this 5-6 times on each side of the face to firm, tighten and sculpt.
#3 Multi-Sculpt
One of our absolute favourite moves and tools, is this incredible stainless steel device. This one device has 6 edges and 10 moves to tone, sculpt and lift your face. The FaceGym Multi-Sculpt has been designed with an amazing grip that fits perfectly into your jaw line. Place your chin in the grip, holding the tool at a 15 degree angle and gently sweep it from chin to ear feeling the muscles toning and the tension releasing. We recommend 5-6 sweeps on either side of the face.
Once you’ve finished sweeping the jawline, take the long edge of the Multi- Sculpt and sweep it down the side of the face from the forehead to the neck, holding the tool at a 15 degree angle to drain the lymphatic system as you will have released toxins stored in the body during the workout.
